In 2003, Jeffrey W. Messer, great-grandson of Walter A. Messer, joined the company, becoming the fourth generation in the family business. A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy with a degree in Ocean Engineering, Jeff served in the U.S. Navy for five years as a Surface Warfare Officer and Nuclear Power Engineer before returning to Maine and the family business. He stays active hiking and camping in the summer, skiing in the winter, and playing ice hockey year-round. He resides in Raymond and Matinicus with his wife, Alissa, and three children.
Tim Cook has been involved in manufacturing, distribution and sales in Maine for over 30 years. He brings a heavy focus on customer relationships and operations management. He is a graduate of Castleton University with degrees in Business Administration, Marketing and Psychology. He maintains an active life outside of work involved in running, coaching lacrosse, working on vintage cars and restoring houses. He and his wife Jeri reside in Poland and are the parents of four children.
Becah Riley joined Messer Truck in 2016. She came from the retail industry with a passion for building lasting relationships and an eagerness to learn. Now Becah proudly serves as the Production Manager working with everyone on the team to help create an exceptional customer experience and a world-class company. She enjoys spending her time away from work with her family, writing books and taking care of her chickens. She lives in Gray with her husband and their two children.
As a long time Messer team member (over 20 years), Donna has fulfilled many roles. She is currently the backbone of the Sales Department, ensuring the smooth flow of information between our customers and installation technicians. Outside of work, she enjoys camping, boating, snowmobiling and Jimmy Buffett concerts. She lives in beautiful Naples with her husband and dogs Princess and Queenie.
Brandon has held many sales and management roles within the automotive and aviation industries of Maine. These include serving as the Parts Manager at Messer Truck Equipment and Manger of Operations for Maine Aviation Corporation. Brandon has returned to the Messer Family of Businesses to help strengthen and grow the truck equipment industry in Northern New England as one of our Sales Representatives. He is a graduate of the University of Southern Maine with a degree in Business Administration and Management, and has served on the Steering Committee for the NTEA. Brandon lives in Hollis, Maine.
Dana joined Messer Truck in early 2021. He has 30 years background in the automotive industry. He has extensive experience in repairing accident damage and painting. In his free time, he enjoys restoring muscle cars, riding ATVs and spending time with his wife, three daughters and granddaughter.
Bob has worked at Messer Truck Equipment for over 40 years, working on the shop floor as a refrigeration mechanic from 1980 to 1994 and then transitioning to the sales department. Bob loves spending time with his four grandchildren, enjoys camping and bass fishing in the summer. He is a fan of all New England sports teams and spends free time working on his old Mustangs. He also spends many nights relaxing with his wife by an outside fire. He also loves the outdoors and time spent hunting in the fall and ice fishing in the winter.
Bob is semi-retired but lends his knowledge and expertise in the background to support our Sales Team.
Ray Thombs joined the company January 2016. Ray has stewarded numerous leadership roles prior to joining Messer Truck Equipment. He has hands-on experience in the civil engineering fields and in the automotive industry. He has served as president of four different non-profit organizations over the past 19 years. Ray is an active duty veteran and plans to retire from the Air National Guard in a few years. He has been married for 30 years to his 7th grade sweetheart and they have three children. At his core, he is a people developer and loves leadership opportunities. If you see him around ask him about his short stint as a performer on the big music stage.
